Eleven children applied for a total of 76 days. Attendance figures will be made available as soon as possible.
Favourite activities were the Maze, visits to the park and riding. Parents have commented that they would like to see more variety of activities e.g. crafts. We will take this onboard for next year.
Quotes from parents were received as follows:
Benefits to the Child
Contact with other adults apart from his carer.
Something to do - not stuck at home.
Socialising and making friendships with adverse mix of people in a safe environment.
The LfA scheme was a real life saver and was the only scheme he attended this year. He really enjoyed his days and came back full of bounce and energy each day. The summer holidays can be quite challenging for him as he is out of his routine and the days can drag. He always looks forwards to the LfA days out and enjoys seeing the same staff and helpers each year. The scheme really helps us and I can't praise it highly enough. It benefits myself and the rest of the family as we get a break knowing that he is having a great time with people we know and trust. Well done and keep up the good work!
Benefits to the wider family
Just able to focus on his siblings fully for a short time for a change.
General comments
Workers were very good and it helped his carer to have company.
LfA is invaluable to both him and us as a family. He absolutely loves going on his adventures - he is always happy and confident to go and we also feel happy and a confident or him to go. We are totally grateful to everyone involved
Thank you for all your kindness, time and caring.
And a thank you card from a child said “Thank you for looking after me. I have had a very happy time- as always.”
